Friends don’t let friends wear circle skirts on windy days. Seriously, I don’t even want to know how many helpless people I flashed while wearing this outfit today.
And, that’s all I have to say about that.

Jewelry, handbags and scarves. Shoes, belts and hats. Typical categories of women’s accessories. But I think a new one should be added to the mix: nail polish. With the wide spectrum of color on the market today, there is no reason to think of it as anything but an accessory. Store shelves are now lined with so many fashion forward colors and company’s such as OPI are always revealing new inventive shades with the most whimsical names that just begs you to slick it on your nails to see what it looks like.
Kendi’s 30 for 30 challenge may limit my clothes, but I can change my polish as much as I like and I find by doing so, it’s an easy way to change the look of my outfit. Try it. You’ll like it.

Since I’m petite, and by petite I mean short, tunics are perfect for me. The longer length allows me to wear it as either a dress or a top, which makes it a super versatile piece for the 30 for 30 Remix Challenge. And how cool is the necklace I’m wearing? It was a gift from my mother-in-law for Christmas. I love the oxidized geometric circles with the small enamel flecks of blue and green.
And, P.S. – Did you notice my little rhinoceros in the background? I adopted him from ZGallerie a few days ago. I love him.

The military trend is still undeniably hot this season. And I really like the military jacket specifically because it can add a dash of toughness to your wardrobe. From structured silhouettes to exaggerated collars and brass buttons, going military allows for a masculine twist to be added to traditionally feminine looks.

If you’re having a bad hair day, add a hat. If you don’t want to wash your hair, add a hat. If you’ve just worked out, have to pick up your preschooler, and don’t want to look like a dirt bag doing it, add a hat. See? Hats are handy. I have several of them in my closet. But the best part about this hat: David bought it for me all by himself.

I love stripes. When I’m running late and just don’t have time to patiently choose the outfit of the day I always turn to a striped top and jeans. Something stripey can make an outfit stand out and quirky, even though no effort goes into it. Do you stripe?

If this 30 for 30 remix challenge has taught me anything so far, it’s that I. Can’t. Model. But it’s only day two. I promise, by day 28 I’ll be the best model under 5’4″ ever. In fact, I’m off to scour pictures of models in magazines right now. And this weekend, I’m pretty sure there’s an America’s Next Top Model marathon on VH1. I’m so going to DVR and study every single episode.

How awesome are these zipper adorned wedges from Piperlime? I mean, who doesn’t want to add five inches of fun to their frame? And the rich cognac color is so yummy. The only problem: I think I’d break a bone if I bought them.

I really need a bootie call, if you know what I mean. Perhaps you don’t so please allow me to clarify: if the shoe store’s a rockin’, don’t come a knockin’.

I found these bad boys at DSW - a shoe warehouse store where all your footwear prayers are answered. The Madden Girl Kendraa platform peep toe bootie is a steal at $49.95. I love the metal buckles on the outside of the shoe, the peep toe is perfect to show off your polished piggies, and the four inch heel includes a covered platform – which makes it easier to strut your stuff.

Did you know charcoal is the new black? It is for me! You can find these peep toe booties at Dillards. I just adore the suede upper, sexy stiletto and the easy to wear platform. Toss them on with tights and a belted dress and you’ve got your go to outfit for work or a night out.

I now believe in love at first sight. I can name that tune in 6 notes: I MUST HAVE THESE COWBOY BOOTIES. You can find them at Nordstrom for $89.95. I love the multiple leather straps that wrap around the 2 inch bootie. The distressed leather is styled with a slouch and the rugged stacked heel adds to the vintage look.
