I’m Totally Against Ceiling Fans. Just Sayin’.

When my mom asked me to help redecorate her bedroom, she only gave me a couple of restrictions: 

  1. I had to use her current lavender wall color and drapes, and
  2. I had to use her recently inherited side tables and dresser.

And here’s the look!

My mom hasn’t bought all this stuff, yet – although I think she totally should.  Hint.  Hint.  This is just a look I created for her – a reference so when she’s out shopping and she sees a perfect white lamp, or a beautiful circle mirror, she can add it to her room and know it’s going to work.

Creating a look book is easy.  Just pick a color palette, furniture, accessories, rugs, and anything and everything else you want for your room and put them together on your computer or in a folder, so when you’re out shopping, you have a guide to follow. 

And, on a side note, I am totally anti-ceiling fans.  Totally.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, gorgeous and unique light fixtures.  But my mom wouldn’t budge on that one.  She’s all, ‘It’s hot in Arizona.  I need the air to be circulated.’  Blah… blah… blah… Just sayin.’

Me:    Orange you glad I discovered this amazing rug from Ballard Designs which by the way, I must  incorporate into my home, so I could write this really witty joke?
