Sock It To Me

From striped shirt dresses to floral mini skirts, the entire Jason Wu for Target collaboration is totally covetable—and, at under sixty bucks a pop, remarkably affordable. But what I heart most about the collection: the styling. I am loving the milkmaid braid and lace ankle socks the model wears in every look.

Date Night Duds

30 for 30 Remix – Day 30

When you leave an orange lipstick in your pocket and proceed to place it in the dryer along with every. piece. of. denim. in the house, you don’t really feel like blogging.

But after removing every. single. stain. from the denim AND the dryer, you do!

So here it is, day 30 of Kendi’s 30 for 30 Remix Challenge. And the only thing I would do different: more shorts and shirts – less pants and jackets.

When it comes to clothes, I’m not a matchy matchy kind of girl. And that drives my husband crazy. I mean, I think he needs to see someone about it. It actually hurt him, he said, to snap these shots of me for Kendi’s 30 for 30 Remix Challenge because my shoes didn’t ‘match’ my pants.

I should probably make an appointment for him this week. But I have a sneaking suspicion, the therapist might think his whole matchy matchy obsession is the least of his problems.

What Will the Mommies at Kindermusik Think?

There was a time when I often wore anklets with my party shoes. The socks had a lace ruffled trim. The shoes were patent leather Mary Janes. And I was six years old. Now, years later, I’m just as excited about perky ankle-length socks with high heels. But I’ve gotta admit, I’m a little nervous to try the trend. I mean, what will all the mommies at Kindermusik think?
