we have sold 2 houses & bought 3 in our 6 years of marriage. it sucks without kids. now with kids i can’t imagine 1. keeping the house show clean & 2. having to be on someone’s else’s schedule like that.
i have to tell you though, both times that we have sold our house, the first time we had a realtor & the second time we sold it ourselves.
both showings that sold both of our houses we were home. or atleast i was. so if someone acts like that you again, just tell them they can come, but you can’t entertain 2 toddlers all day, seriously!
there is no rule that says you can’t be there when people come to see your house.
good luck, your house looks great & i am sure that it won’t sit for 20 months.

Knowing your frustration level that day you totally have my sympathy; however, I loved your blog on the whole experience. Hang in there, your house is too lovely not to sell; it’s just going to take longer than you want it to in this market.

I cringed and shuddered like crazy w/ your description of a kidney stone. I imagine it being way worse than childbirth, and while pregnant? Wow. You’re incredible!!
And I can’t even imagine what it’s like selling a home with kids. Working on someone else’s schedule when your kids have and need one as well. Hang in there
