Toddler Talk

Reichen:  “Latham played and I cried.  I cried a lot.”

What my 3 year old said he did when I dropped him off at the gym daycare this morning.  It was the first time someone other than a family member watched him and his brother while I was away.  It was a little rough on both of us.

  1. Don’t you love how they can break your heart so easily?

    *sigh*

Oh I bet that made you feel sad (and guilty)! But they do get use to it and they will have fun and enjoy it and then start telling you to go away when you come to pick them up because they are having so much fun.

poor babies. tucker has recently taken to crying every morning now when we drop him off at daycare. it is really fantastic. makes you feel great as a parent to leave your child when he is clearly not happy. it only lasts a few minutes, but it still is so hard. they just love their mommas!

That’s so tough – we have yet to use anything like that either…
But it’s good to try things out… and good for YOU to have that alone time!

It’s always so hard…I have a guilt complex when it comes to my kids being with other people other than family. Especially when they cry. :(
