It’s side splittingly funny when your toddler says tallywacker for the first time. It’s super funny when your toddler says tallywacker for the second time. It’s even funny when your toddler says tallywacker for the third, fourth, and fifth, times. I should know. Reichen’s been saying it all day.
The soda I was slurping literally squirted out of my nose when I first heard Reichen say the weird word. I think he liked the way tallywacker rolled off his dad’s tongue after David used it to refer to his special parts below the belt and above the knees. Reichen accidentally kicked his dad there when the two were wrestling.
Reichen knows he has a hit on his hands. It’s not every day he makes his mom and dad laugh so hard and so long it brings tears to their eyes. I guess if it made us laugh, he thought others might like it as well. And so said it to his brother. And he said it to our 12-year-old neighbor. And he said it to the guy at Home Depot.
He thought right: they all laughed, and laughed, and laughed.
What’s not so funny: getting Reichen to stop saying tallywacker. I think it’s going to be a tough task. I mean, when a 3 year old says tallywacker, it’s funny. Side. Splittingly. Funny.

I happened to stumble across an old post of yours about hand-foot-mouth disease and started reading. Your blog is great! You might be the first one I end up following!
My 2 year old says boob. And it’s never just boob, it’s always “Mommy’s boob” while pointing or patting. I accidentally taught him when I was trying to tell him not to touch Mommy’s boob and he just picked it right up. To my husband’s great embarrassment, we also sometimes hear “Daddy’s boob”.
My 3 yr old says boobie holders. I think she got that from my husband when she was trying to figure out my Bra that was laying in the bathroom….
Hilarious! I can totally relate! Boys are so fun!!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I’m not sure how much traffic you’ll get from mine. I’m pretty sure I don’t have many (if any) readers
And they are so darn cute saying it; so hard not to laugh. Luv U.
