When I had just one, he was all that I knew
The two of us loved and played and soon there came you.
Nice to meet you I said when you came along
We bonded immediately; our two souls so strong.
Your brother, I knew every detail about
How he walked, how he talked, how he loudly laughed out.
With you, it was harder to know all your quirks
A toddler keeps me busy not to mention a husband who works.
When a weekend and grandma’s was offered for Reichen
Fun activities were planned; I just knew he would like them.
I missed my first born so much all those days
But precious time with you just makes me want to say:
You’re an amazing little boy and I never knew
You can say your name and so much more too.
You crinkle your nose when you laugh and when you cry
You slobber while blowing bubbles on my arm when you try.
You think it’s hysterical to run and tackle your daddy
You have the best laugh even when you are crabby.
You love to toddle and don’t mind when you fall
You hold the phone close to your ear when anyone calls.
You have crazy cool hair that when it’s humid it curls.
You have gap in your teeth which will be a hit with all the girls.
You lip quivers a little when I leave the room
You miss me and yell ‘momma’ even though I return soon.
You’re my most special little boy of that I am sure
I love you so much and for that there’s no cure.
Our one on one time meant everything to me
Nice to meet you Latham, we were just meant to be.
